CENTURY-XXX-METAMOLNAR(S) #426

CENTURY-XXX-META is a large fx(hash) project by Casey Reas consisting of six individual 1,000 edition series paying homage to some of the most influential pioneering figures of computer and generative art. Each series draws aesthetic inspirations from the chosen pioneers iconic work. CENTURY-XXX-METAMOLNAR(S) pays homage to monumental female pioneering generative artist, Vera Molnár. The piece consists of a grid array of slightly off-centered truchet tiles that rotate one-by-one creating ever-changing compositions. The work is reminiscent of iconic Molnár works such as Hypertransformation 19, Carré coupé en 12 à angles droits, and De la série 100 carrés qui se bousculent, étape n°3.
