Auriea Harvey
Auriea Harvey is an artist producing simulations and sculptures that bridge physical and digital space. She is also a pioneer of net art and video game art, contributing to the first Internet project commissioned by a major institution (the Guggenheim Museum) and winning the first major prize given for an interactive work (from the SFMOMA). She then turned her attention to 3D modeling, printing and mixed reality. Her work consists of sculptures that blend digital and handmade production. The artist’s work can be found in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, Buffalo AKG Museum, Walker Art Center, and Rhizome’s Net Art Anthology
