Biography
Ryan Murdock authored the popular, open source BigSleep notebook and originated the approach of combining VQGAN & CLIPs. He is an artist and Machine Learning researcher with a focus on multimodal generative systems. His foundational work on early CLIP text-to-image Colab notebooks helped to usher in the text-to-image art scene and subsequent industry efforts, and has been featured in global press including The New Yorker, Vice, and Vox.
With research and interests within ML, Psychology, Materials Informatics, Cognitive Science, and art, he brings a cross-disciplinary mindset & approach to his work.
