Marcelo Soria-Rodriguez

Marcelo Soria-Rodriguez is an artist, strategist and advocate for digital and data literacy. He is interested in expanding the total cognitive space of human activity, exploring the role of technological advances in society and researching the implications of releasing new pseudo-intelligent species into the world. Soria-Rodriguez’s art focuses on the boundaries of machine emotions and human–machine relationships.

Before releasing critically acclaimed generative art collections, he led the Data & Analytics department at BBVA. He also co-founded Databeers, a data literacy movement. With a background in financial corporations and startups, Soria-Rodriguez approaches the relationship between humans and machines through the same lens as his previous work: he seeks new perspectives on minds, feelings and lives.
