Patakk
Paolo Čerić, also known as Patakk, is a Zagreb-based artist and programmer with a deep interest in blending science and creative expression. Initially introduced to generative art through his uncle, Čerić creates unique works that reflect his appreciation for the beauty of the world around him.
Čerić’s early practice focused on animation and the looping nature of GIFs. He has since shifted to long-form still works while remaining open to a range of mediums. His creative explorations span photography, 3D modeling, industrial design experiments, interactive works and more. Notably, he collaborated with the Zagreb Dance Center to create interactive projection works for modern dance performances.
As a machine learning engineer, Čerić’s recent experiments involve using diffusion models to convey meaning through artistic expression. His exhibitions include D-izložba in Zagreb and Perfekt Prints in Vienna. Čerić continues to evolve his practice, exploring new realms and pushing boundaries.
