Piter Pasma is a generative artist who expresses himself through experimentations with code and complexity. Pasma started programming at the age of 9 and went on to pursue degrees in Computer Science and Machine Learning. Inspired by randomness as a creative force, he believes that hidden gems are waiting to be discovered within algorithms. By carefully tuning virtual black boxes, he creates unexpected environments emerging from code. Pasma began as a demoscener in 1998 and has been honing his creative coding skills ever since, winning four prizes for his 4-kilobyte audio-visual demos. Pasma has been the lead organizer of Genuary 2021 and Genuary 2022, a generative art month in which artists create daily pieces based on selected prompts.
